Before reinstall GAOMON driver, you need to uninstall the existing driver completely. If not completely done, it may cause reinstall/install driver unsuccessfully. After uninstallation, it’s better to reboot your computer and then reinstall. Here are the steps.
In Windows System
Before uninstall, please close all drawing and anti-virus software. There are three ways for your reference.
Method 1: uninstall in Control Panel
- Click ‘Start’ in the left lower corner–>select ‘Control Panel’
- Type ‘Programs and features’ in the search box and select ‘uninstall a program’ from the ‘Programs and features’ menu. In some versions, it may be ‘Programs’.
- Find out the file ‘Gaomon Tablet vxxxxxxx’ named as below picture, circled in red. Right-click it, then select ‘uninstall’ and wait until this folder being removed.
- Click ‘Start’ in the lower left corner and click ‘All Programs’
- then find out the folder ‘Gaomon Tablet’ and click it. Now select ‘Uninstall Gaomon Tablet’.
Method 3: uninstall from its location file
- Right-click GAOMON driver icon on the desktop and select ‘Open file location’ from the drop-down list.
- Find out the file ‘unins000’ circled as in below picture
- Right-click it and select ‘Open’ and then click ‘Yes’ from the prompt box.
In macOS
Before uninstall, please close all drawing and anti-virus software. There are two ways for your reference.
Method 1: uninstall from Applications
- Go ‘Finder’–>’Applications’, and find the folder ‘GaomonTablet’
- Open ‘GaomonTablet’ and click ‘TabletDriverUninstall’, then select ‘Uninstall Driver’
- Input your mac account code and wait for it to finish uninstalling.
Method 2: uninstall by grab-and-drop in Trush
- Go ‘Finder’–>’Applications’, and find the folder ‘GaomonTablet’
- Right-click it and select ‘Move to Trash’
- Click ‘Trash’ in the Dock and Empty it.
Before reinstalling the driver, it’s better to restart your computer.
